ILLUSIONISTS SIEGFRIED & ROY
"SARMOTI"...Siegfried & Roy Masters
of the Impossible.
Siegfried & Roy performed nightly at the
Mirage
Hotel, Las Vegas.
A
horrible tragedy struck on October 3, 2003 as Roy Uwe Ludwig Horn was
mauled by one of his white tigers during one of their live
performances. A legacy has come to an end, and the show now has been
cancelled. We all hope and pray for Roy's full recovery and that
Siegfried & Roy will be once again together.

Las Vegas Boulevard.
Siegfried & Roy have
signed a life-time agreement between Mirage Hotel, part of
MGM Entertainment, in which they would exclusively perform at the
Mirage for rest of their career.
DOUG
& DEBBY HENNING
The late Doug
Henning with his wife Debby. Douglas
James Henning (May 3, 1947 - February 7, 2000.)
I had the great pleasure meeting Doug after his
show. This was one of his last performances before he retired from
show business. Signed photo from 1986 at the BSU Pavillion in
Boise, ID.
Doug was one of the most lovable and caring human
beings you could ever hope to meet. His accomplishments were
many. From the early beginning of magic on TV, he has paved the road
for many of today's performers on television. Doug announced his
magic comeback from retirement shortly before his sudden death.
Caesar's
Magical Empire with underground
catacombs, features a three-course meal, magic acts in two theaters
and walk-around performers. Our guide through he Magical Empire who
was very kind to show us around the "off-limits" areas.
You may have seen Blue Man
Group featured in the popular Intel Pentium III commercials, but
seeing "Blue Man Group - Live at Luxor"
was a totally awsome visual and audio experience. BMG is the most
innovative entertainment phenomenon in Las Vegas. Pictured here are
the founding members of BMG (Matt Goldman, Phil Stanton and Chris
Wink.)
Here are few of my photos from Las Vegas. Or is it Paris? Sometimes I can't tell anymore.
A real Hollywood extra.
Here is the "extras holding tent" where they feed you lunch
before they shoot ya, er...I mean, between takes.
Variety of film production
trucks and trailers such as catering trucks, lighting, special
effects, make-up, and tons more sit on this off limits lot. In
the movie industry lingo, this area is called "circus.".
During
a visit to Vegas in
April of 2001, George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon,
and Don
Cheadle were in town filming the remake of
"Oceans Eleven" which is now available on video and DVD.
Update: Ocean's Twelve will be in production soon. However, this time it
will be filmed entirely in Europe. Expected to be out in late 2004 or
early 2005.
The beautiful
Picasso
Restaurant and a private suite at the Bellagio were
chosen and closed for two
nights to film a scene with Clooney and Roberts.
Filming in town is also
very popular these days. You have the TV series "CSI"
which are filmed here, "The Strip" was filmed here, plus numerous other Hollywood blockbusters, documentaries,
specials
and
commercials. Latest NBC-TV series is called "Las
Vegas."

series, you can check out the Star

Actor Jackie Chan was here
on the same day filming his movie (Rush Hour
2) across the street
at the Aladdin and the Steve Wynn property Desert Inn Hotel which was painted
red. In fact, after the shoot a fan "punched" Jackie
in the face and was arrested for assault, but released when Jackie
dropped the charges.
