Hi, my name is Rick Michaels, I'm the founder of RickMichaels.net and Global Films Entertainment. I have done magic professionally for 20+ years, but now I have "retired" from performing and collecting. My interests include screenwriting, photography, and music.

Since 1993, I worked in the broadcasting industry as a radio announcer and a Club DJ until March of 2003. Now pursuing a career in pyrotechnics and film industry.  During my years with the radio station I had various duties such as...Radio Announcer, (laymen -- read D.J.) Music Director (dude that picks CDs to be played on the air from the closet or in-between the cushions of the sofa in the General Manager's office), Sound Engineer (mixing sound and other interesting junk on the mixing board or in the blender, or whatever we had available at the time), Assistant Program Director (trying to decide what program really should be played instead of the Howard Stern Show), Graphic Artist, the maid, the coffee maker, oh...and a webmaster for IdahoPoint.com, the stations' former website.

Also designed various logos, websites, and created other art projects.  Along with co-founder David Evans a.k.a. "The Toad," we have created RadioDJs.com , which used to be one of the largest websites dedicated to radio broadcasters across the world. We are still very proud of that accomplishment. Dave has a new site now Dave Christi Productions. He is a very talented "voice imaging guy" offering Program Directors, radio stations and production companies to use his voice for Station Imaging, Commercial Production, Morning Show Bits and whatever else! However, one of the greatest and most satisfying jobs that I have is a Pyrotechnician. Currently I'm the General Operations Manager for Elite Pyrotechnics Formerly Smith & Wilde Fireworks. Elite Pyrotechnics is an outdoor fireworks display company based in Southeast Idaho. We are the only professional display fireworks company in state of Idaho and provide full service and product for any type of event. We are an ATF licensed company and do outdoor display shows across the country.

Other latest business ventures include creating a parent company Global Films Entertainment as a vehicle for the art of screenwriting and film production. Currently in development are 5 ideas for full-length feature films. As you can see, large part of this site is dedicated to movies. Here I will offer help for future screenwriters.

If time permits, due to my extensive travel schedule, I will make updates on this website. There are tons of other links that are coming soon. Okay, so sometimes I don't have that much time to update certain pages and may take me several months before I do so...or perhaps a year or two as I have done in the past.
